LTC Hot Topics Will No Longer Be Provided Under the New CMS Contract with TMF

TMF Health Quality Institute contracts with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide nursing homes with timely news and resources for enhancing nursing home quality improvement efforts in Texas. In the past, one vehicle for providing these services to nursing homes statewide had been through our LTC Hot Topics newsletter.
Under our new contract with CMS, which began August 1, 2008 and extends through July of 2011, TMF will work with a CMS-selected group of Texas nursing homes to accomplish specific tasks associated with a new National Patient Safety Initiative. As funding will no longer be provided for statewide outreach, TMF is discontinuing the LTC Hot Topics newsletter. Nursing homes not selected for work with TMF may now wish to visit the Advancing Excellence in Americas Nursing Homes campaign Web site for news, information and tools.
