AHRQ Health Care Innovations Exchange

Nursing Home and TMF Success Story Published as Innovation on the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ’s) Innovation Exchange

With the help of TMF’s consulting services and resources covered by CMS’ 8th Scope of Work, P&M Healthcare was confident they were ready to begin a culture change journey. The result was far more successful than they could have imagined. Among other positive results, the change increased resident satisfaction, improved staff retention and tripled operating income. Recently, P&M Healthcare’s story became an Innovation Profile featured on AHRQ’s Innovation Exchange. It’s called “Nursing Homes Create Home-Like, Resident-Focused Environment and Culture, Leading to Better Quality and Financial Performance, Higher Resident Satisfaction, and Lower Staff Turnover.” We hope that you enjoy this free article and that it provides some useful tips and ideas for use at your facility.

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s Health Care Innovations Exchange is a Web-based program designed to support health care professionals in sharing and adopting innovations that improve health care quality.
